Collection of photos of birds in the Northwest United States.
This is not a showcase of top quality, stunning photography, but rather meant to show that anyone can enjoy the great outdoors, and wildlife photography, regardless of their skill level and quality of their photography gear.
It is also intended to be an continuously updated sampling of the various birds, encountered over time. As better-quality photos of any given birds are aquired, they will replace the current ones.
These photos were taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T4i APS-C (crop-image) DSLR camera, using basic Canon 75-300 and 55-250 mm kit lenses. Due to the crop-image form-factor, the actual focal lengths are 1.6 times longer than indicated.
All the pictures are taken in Washington State, most of them at the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge in Ridgefield, Washington.
If any of the birds are misidentified, it will be appreciated if you mentioned it in the comments,
